Confrontation Between State and Local Police Over Terri
Family, Life, and the Body March 25th, 2005
Hours after a judge ordered that Terri Schiavo was not to be removed
from her hospice, a team of state agents were en route to seize her and
have her feeding tube reinserted — but they stopped short when local
police told them they would enforce the judge’s order, The Miami Herald has
learned.

Jonathan,
Have been visiting and enjoying your site for some time now. I’m going to be received into the Catholic Church tonite, and like you, am a convert from Anglicanism, and was an Evangelical before that.
I find the situation with Terri Schiavo absolutely heart wrenching, and am afraid that our nation is taking a step in the wrong direction; we could end up like the Netherlands, where about 10% of adult deaths are from involuntary euthanasia. I’ve also heard that they now, or perhaps in the future will, perform euthanasia on infants; it sounds very much like eugenics. Will continue to pray for Terri and her family, and the conversion of her husband and those who are opposed to the gospel of life.
Have and blessed Easter, and keep up the good work!
