Although the primary method of counting time in the Catholic Church is in the Church year, she has also traditionally given unique meaning to the days and months of the calendar year. Each month and day is devoted to a particular theme, person, etc. Here they are:
Days of the Week
Sunday- The Most Holy Trinity
Monday- The Holy Spirit
Tuesday- All Angels and Saints
Wednesday- St. Joseph
Thursday- The Blessed Sacrament
Friday- The Holy Cross
Saturday- The Blessed Virgin Mary
Months of the Year
January- The Holy Name of Jesus
February- The Sacred Passion
March- St. Joseph
April- The Holy Eucharist
May- The Blessed Virgin Mary
June- The Sacred Heart of Jesus
July- The Precious Blood
August- The Immaculate Heart of Mary
September- Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs
October- The Most Holy Rosary
November- The Faithful Departed
December- The Holy Infancy
